Abstract: This research investigates strategies for promoting industry-relevant skills in vocational programs in Nigeria, focusing on aligning curriculum content, instructional practices, and skill development initiatives with current and future industry demands. Industry-relevant skills are essential for enhancing vocational graduates' employability, meeting workforce needs, and supporting economic growth in diverse sectors. The study aims to (1) identify key industry-relevant skills prioritized by employers across various sectors, (2) assess the effectiveness of vocational education programs in integrating industry-aligned skills and competencies, and (3) propose recommendations for enhancing vocational curriculum and training strategies to better prepare students for industry-specific roles and career pathways. A survey research design is employed to gather insights from employers, industry associations, and vocational educators. A sample size of 400 participants will be chosen through purposive sampling to represent industry leaders, vocational alumni, and workforce development experts in Osun State. Case studies will examine successful partnerships between vocational schools and industries in promoting industry-relevant skills. Findings indicated high demand for technical skills such as digital literacy, problem-solving, and industry-specific knowledge, with challenges including rapid technological advancements and curriculum adaptation. Recommendations include industry advisory boards, competency-based learning approaches, and internships to bridge skill gaps and enhance vocational graduates' readiness for industry-specific roles and emerging job markets.
